Blackjack Whiz will teach you basic strategy, card counting and for advanced players, indexes. The app contains a wide variety of counting systems with balanced systems (High-Low, Hi Opt II, Zen and Revere RAPC) as well as a few unbalanced counting systems (KO and Uston SS). You can also customize the table rules to better represents the tables at your local casinos.

This is a great app for beginners who want to learn how to decrease the houses edge and advanced players who want to learn a more complicated counting system or take a stab at indexes generated for a variety of deck sizes, counting systems and table rules.

Basic Strategy

Learning Blackjacks basic strategy is a must for anyone willing to lay down money on the betting table. Basic strategy is the reason blackjacks house edge is lower than most casino games is that if a player plays their hands properly they can win little bit less than half the time.

In this drill, you will play through a normal game of blackjack and are corrected with a message when you deviate from basic strategy.

Counting Values

This drill will help you memorize the count value of each face card by showing you a card and asking you to touch the corresponding button with the correct count value. You will be able to choose from 6 different counting systems: High-Low, Hi Opt II, Zen, Revere RAPC, KO and Uston SS with varying levels of difficulty.

Counting Cards

The counting cards drill ups the level of difficulty by showing a number of cards and then asking for both the running and true counts. The user can decide the counting system and increase the speed of the drill to challenge their counting skills. Speed and accuracy is necessary when counting cards because mistakes can cost you money. The idea behind counting cards is that when playing basic strategy, you bet more when the count is high and the minimum when the count is low.

Index Memorization

This drill is for advanced players and will help you increase your advantage over the house. An index is a count that causes you to deviate from basic strategy, for example you should never use insurance according to basic strategy; however, if the High-Low count is above 3 then it becomes profitable to take insurance.

Here you will be shown a sample hand and upcard then be asked for what count you would deviate from basic strategy. Incorrect answers will pop-up a menu showing the correct answer and the hand/upcard.

Advanced strategy is a drill that brings together all the other drills. The user will play through blackjack games and if they make incorrect basic strategy moves or dont take advantage of an index, a message will show what should have been done.
